Power Supply in Occupied Simferopol, Crimea, Shortened to Four Hours Daily

Power supplies to residential houses in Russia-occupied city of Simferopol, Crimea, have been decreased from 12 to four hours daily.

As reported by Censor.NET citing FlashCrimea, this was announced by self-proclaimed "city administration head" Gennadiy Bakharev.

Last week, power pylons transmitting electricity to Crimea were blasted in the Kherson region. After the accident, power supplies to the peninsula from Ukraine have been stopped. The emergency mode has been introduced in Crimea, accompanied by scheduled supplies of power instead of permanent energy supply.

Initially, Simferopol was supplied with electricity for four in every eight hours (the total of 12 hours daily), later the schedule has been changed to three in every 12 hours (six hours daily).

"Instead of the three-in-12 schedule we actually have the two-in-12, and it is extremely difficult to keep up with, let me be honest," Bakharev said.
