Minsk residents make sellers of Soviet flags run away

38

Two young men were selling Soviet flags in the centre of Minsk today.

Journalist Lubou Luniova wrote it on Facebook.

“Two young men at the intersection of Pershamaiskaya and Lenin Streets were handing out Soviet flags to drivers around 10 minutes ago. I caught one of them, he showed me a sheet of paper reading 'Dear drivers! I have a hearing disability. I sell the flag 'Born in the USSR' to earn my living.' Another woman came to them and asked: 'What flags do you have? Who permitted you?' I tried to find out who there were. A Belsat cameraman came to us. The man showed me to get off, to put it mildly. One of the guys ran to the bus stop, the other went in the direction of Dinamo stadium.

Four adults were near them all the time, but they didn't interfere. When I asked if I should call the police, the deaf guy looked at me as if he heard what I said and fled. I am thinking now maybe I shouldn't have behaved like that. Drivers didn't buy their flags anyway,” the journalist wrote.
