USSR flags traded in the streets of Orsha

Orsha dwellers offered to buy flags of the Soviet Union.

A reader informed charter97.org.

"At a busy intersection in Orsha next to the city market a young guy made an active trade of the former USSR symbols. Taking advantage of the fact that vehicles had to stop for 40-50 seconds at the crossing he managed to sell 3-4 items. As it turned out, a flag cost Br20 thousand. Taking me at first for his admirer, the guy was trying even to show off in front of a camera. However, after hearing my complaints to his actions, he feigned a dumb showing the piece of paper as large as a chocolate box where it was written what he was selling and at what price. It is interesting that as soon as I disappeared behind the market gates he responded to my warning to call the police", he writes.

Police did not react to the distribution of unregistered symbols.

"I was not surprised seeing the same guy there 5 hours later. When I came home I called the police. A duty officer was not surprised. Then he said that that person did not violate (neither road traffic rules nor others) any law. And, in general, he is a dumb. And he can't swear, as I understand. So there is nothing to make him responsible for," the reader writes.

It should be reminded that earlier it was repeatedly reported about handing out of Russian flags in streets of Belarusian towns. Such cases were fixed both in Minsk and other regional centers and big cities. It is reported by residents of Babruisk, Hrodna, Vitebsk, Homel, Orsha, Polatsk, Baranavichy. Pro-Russian organizations are those who organize the distribution of flags in Belarus.
