Lieutenant colonel of Emergency Ministry hanged himself at work

Vitali Shauchuk was charged with inappropriate use of funds.

As charter97.org learnt from a reader, former head of the republican special task squad of the Emergency Ministry Vitali Shauchuk committed suicide at work on March 13.

“He is said to have been accused of inappropriate use of funds,” the reader writes.

A source of charter97.org in the Emergency Ministry confirms the incident.

The ministry's spokesman Vitali Navitski told charter97.org that details were being figured out.

“The body of the ministry's officer was found. An inquiry is underway,” he said.
