Sharets to fight with sellers of sunflower seeds

The Minsk City Executive Committee strengthens the fight against unauthorized trade in streets of the capital.

BelaPAN reports it was stated on April 23 at the meeting on elimination of unauthorized trading in the city streets in the Minsk City Executive Committee.

"The meeting examined issues related to the application of the law to suppress facts of sale of food and industrial goods by natural persons, as well as a number of proposals to strengthen the fight against this phenomenon", the Directorate noted.

At the same time we have worked out specific measures to reduce unstructured trade, inter alia, tightening responsibility for such law violations.

The meeting resulted in the adoption of a month term to put things in the city streets in order to eliminate hawkering.

The Directorate noted "a consistent work on suppression of unauthorized trade is being undertaken." Thus, since the beginning of this year, there have been more than 500 raids on the subject conducted, about 300 prescriptions (warnings) issued to citizens and more than 300 protocols of administrative violation drawn up (with fine from 5 to 50 basic units).
