Defence Minister of Poland: Russia preparing an aggressive scenario for Ukraine
Tomasz Siemoniak

It is completely clear that the Minsk agreements are not effective.

Tomasz Siemoniak, Defence Minister of Poland, expressed concern about new Russia's plans to ramp up pressure on Ukraine, UNN reports with reference to TVN24.

"Together with NATO we monitor our eastern borders. It is completely clear that the Minsk agreements are not effective", Siemoniak said.

Polish Defence Minister believes that Russia is preparing "an aggressive scenario" against Ukraine.

Earlier, the Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius stated that groups of militants in the Donbas were better armed than some European troops. According to him, the information that the Russian Federation is deploying its troops in Donetsk and Mariupol direction is true.

"We are concerned with this concentration of troops, it's a large number", he stressed.

Linkevičius also shared his thoughts that militants in Ukraine used a temporary reprieve from military actions to regroup and de-escalate conflict.
