Protest in Minsk: “Russian army – get out of Belarus!”

A huge poster with a call for Russian military to leave the territory of Belarus was placed in a pedestrian tunnel in Independence Avenue.

The action was staged by Alternativa. Charter97.org was informed about that by the press-service of the organisation.

“Today Alternativa activists placed a huge poster, in which they expressed their attitude to the military presence of Russian in Belarus, and also to possible opening of new Russian military bases. The rally was held in Minsk in a pedestrian underpass near the military faculty of the Belarusian National Techincal University. We are for peace, for independence of our country, for cooperation with the entire civilized world, for wellbeing and prosperity of Belarus,” their report reads.
