American Broke Border To Make Selfie In Belarus

An American tourist wanted to make a memorable picture near the border sign on the Polish-Belarusian border during his stay in Bialowieza.

On April 27, border guards found traces testifying illegal crossing of the border with Poland on the march land in Bialowieza.

“We have informed the Belarusian side, which has confirmed the fact. Footprints led to the border signs and back to Poland – spokesperson for Podlaskie Department of Border Service Katarzyna Zdanowicz said to Radio Racyja. – We quickly found out that the offender, who let himself onto the march land and broke the rules of crossing the border, was a US citizen, who was in Bialowieza as a tourist. The man pleaded guilty and explained that he had wanted to make a memorable picture. He was sentenced to a fine of 500 zlotys.”
