Konstantin Olshansky Damaged After Strike: Expert Estimates Large Landing Ship To ‘Survive’

Another victim of the Neptune.

Military-political expert Oleksandr Kovalenko commented on the defeat of the Konstantin Olshansky Russian large landing ship. It became known this morning.

According to Kovalenko on Telegram and the statement of the speaker of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pletenchuk, this was the Neptune anti-ship missile, that is, the R-360. "This missile can effectively hit targets with a displacement of 5,000 tons. The missile cruiser Moskva, with a displacement of 8,000 tons, was sunk by two R-360s. In other words, with a successful hit, the Konstantin Olshansky large landing ship, with a total displacement of 4,000 tons, is unlikely to have a chance of being operated by the occupiers," the analyst said.

The expert draws similar conclusions about the reconnaissance ship of the near, far sea and ocean zone of project 18280 Ivan Khurs. According to the expert, although this unit differs from large amphibious ships in architecture, it should no longer be considered as an object with a displacement of 4,000 tons, but as a ship "with a critical indicator of 2,500 tons".

"But, which is no less pleasing, the Neptune missiles continue to perform tasks. The very Neptune missile, which some "experts" called meaningless and hopeless," the observer states.
