Massive Drone Attack On Krasnodar Territory, Russian Federation

A military airfield and strategic factories are burning.

In the morning of April 27, more than 10 drones attacked the Krasnodar Territory of Russia. The drones' mission was to strike local refineries.

Governor Veniamin Kondratiev announced this on his Telegram account.

According to him, Russian air defense forces were allegedly able to “suppress” UAVs in the Slavyansky, Seversky and Kushchevsky districts of the Krasnodar Territory. He noted that there were supposedly “no casualties or serious damage.”

Kondratiev blamed Ukraine for the drone attack.

“Operational services are extinguishing fires caused by a UAV crash,” he wrote.

Explosions in the Krasnodar region

Also, the Telegram channel “ChP of the Krasnodar Territory” reported that residents of Slavyansk-on-Kuban heard explosions and the sounds of a running engine in the sky. After this, a local bitumen plant caught fire.

As the Russian media Astra reported, the administration of the Slavyansky district of the Krasnodar Territory confirmed a UAV attack on a local oil refinery. In total, there were 9 attacks on the tank farm, as a result of which the distillation column was damaged.

“A UAV attacked the territory of the plant in Slavyansk-on-Kuban. In total there were 9 attacks on the tank farm and distillation column. Thanks to the built-in protection system, the tank farm was not damaged. The distillation column is damaged. The fire was extinguished by the joint efforts of the responsible services,” the administration said.

At the same time, according to local public accounts, at about 5:00 in the suburbs of Slavyansk-on-Kuban, explosions occurred, after which a bright glow appeared in the sky.

Local residents told the MASH Telegram channel that before this, eyewitnesses heard the sound of a motor in the sky.

The VChK-OGPU Telegram channel reports that drones hit the Slavyansk-EKO oil refinery, a bitumen plant, the Ilsky oil refinery and a number of other facilities.

From open sources it became known that a military airfield in the village of Kushchevskaya, Krasnodar Territory, also caught fire after an attack by a UAV.
