Vitsebskoblgas forced to buy up peat

A reader of Charter97.org and employee of the UE "Vitsebskoblgas" of the PU "Vitsebskgas" told about the beginning of the "personnel optimization" that might mean the staff reduction by 25 per cent.

"We have a mass "reorganization". The Ministry has sent a document specifying the number of employees in every service. According to this paper we have a significant excess of employees. Presumably, this excess is about 25%, but the number of future dismissed is unknown, it is planned to fire so-called non-core assets. But it's not the end. The reader complains that employees are also made ... buy peat at their own expenses.

"And the most furious thing about this situation is that we are forced to buy peat because there are several patronized peat mills of our enterprise in the region. It is required to buy at least 1 ton priced at Br983 and Br820 thousand. Being in despair, people have begun to write applications and bought a cheaper peat. However, a more expensive peat was delivered and of poorer quality. It's a complete chaos! The management is trying to resolve its problems at our expense.

The enterprise confirmed the information about dismissals, but its scale is unknown. Valery Erameiau, the Deputy Director and the Head of the Department on Law and Personnel informed.
