The authorities do not care that people have no money to live on.

Chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union of Radio Electronic Industry Workers Henadz Fiadynich commented on the incident at the Dynamo stadium to Salidarnasts.

“Only large enterprises do not get behind on salaries at the present. As for small ones, including the private sector, this problem has turned into a common practice there,” – chairman of REI Henadz Fiadynich said to Salidarnasts.

According to the union leader, it is essential to introduce criminal liability for non-payment of wages:

“People have nothing to live on. They have to pay for utilities, and if they do not pay on time, they are fined. No one cares what your children are wearing, what they are eating – neither the employer, nor the authorities at the top. There is no money – and that’s it! Sorry, but if a man got a job, signed a contract under specific conditions, you should follow them!” – Fiadynich believes.

Henadz Fiadynich considers that the salary collecting procedure should be legally facilitated because of the difficult situation with payments.

“The history at the Dynamo stadium is probably a cry from the heart. And it’s not a single story. It seems that the Ministry of Labor simply does not monitor the situation with salaries. All the more that this is happening on the eve of Easter, when a lot of people are preparing for the holiday. The state, the Ministry of Labour, the State Control Committee have to make efforts to pay people for their work,” –the chairman of the trade union says.

As charter97.org website has already informed, on April 28, at about 14 o’clock a man climbed a tower crane at the Minsk Dinamo stadium, where a reconstruction is being carried out.
